Pick up from the Hotel on early morning to reach the picturesque town of Sant'Agata sui due Golfi, where our customers will have breakfast tasting the typical neapolitan "sfogliatella" at the famous Bar Fiorentino. We continue towards Amalfi Coast along the famous Amalfi Drive,one of the most impressive and spectacular routes of Europe, where landscapes of incomparable beauty are melted with the sea and citrus fruits scent .

Stop in Positano and free time to visit the typical little streets of shopping with the unmistakable " Moda Positano" clothes, famous for her style all over the world. We also raccomand a visit around the ruines of a roman building recently found ,located just under the dome of the Mother Church.

Lunch in a typical restaurant. During the afternoon ,after having a great coffee , we leave to Amalfi ,the historical Maritime Republic and hometown of Flavio Gioia, inventor of the compass. Here it will be possible to visit the wonderful Saint Andrew's Dome and its impressive facade in polycrome majolicas of the 19th century, for his beauty known also as "Paradise Cloister". We also strongly raccomand to enter the Arsenal where the galleys fleet where built. Before coming back to Sorrento Peninsula ,a visit to the Emerald Cave is unfailing, where particular boat will take you inside the colours and the silence of this very special place. The departure is from the Amalfi Port and the visit will last about 40 min .

Return to the Hotel at about 19.00.

Pompei departing from Sorrento Peninsula-Half day

Departure on early morning to go to Pompei, where you can visit the famous archaeological area, including the Basilica of the Madonna del Rosario After left the city of Meta, we will make a first stop in the fabulous views of Scutari, where you can take pictures to the whole coast of Sorrento Peninsula, which, with the first morning sun, can be seen at her best. Arrived in Pompei (after 40 minutes) and tasted good Neapolitan coffee, there will be free time for visiting the ruins, to discover what remains of the ancient splendour of the Roman Empire .In 79 DC, the terrible eruption of Vesuvius buried most of the ancient city of Pompei, leaving intact for centuries some wonders of the amphitheatre, rich of frescoes villas and whatever witnesses the prosperity of this civilization of the past. Excavations began in the 18th century and still today the Superintendent continues to search for the treasures that are still hidden in Pompei.
Strongly recommended is a visit to the Church, one of the major centres of Marian devotion of Italy where you can admire the amazing painting of the "Virgin of Pompei", a canvas by the seventeenth-century school of Luca Giordano.

Departure on early afternoon to head towards Herculaneum, a city situated on the slopes of Vesuvius that with Pompei was destroyed by the eruption of the volcano in 79 AD.Herculaneum was the influencial Romans residential area, where you can admire, within the archaeological majestic villas not only rich in frescoes and objects in an excellent preservation state, but also an extensive collection of marble sculptures . Arrived in Herculaneum (after 30 minutes), there will be free time for visiting the ruins, which usually requires at least a couple of hours. We recommend comfortable shoes (no sandals) and a hat to protect yourselves from the sun.
After the visit, we will cross the main street Corso Resina, lined with beautiful XVIII century villas. This stretch of road is better known as "Golden Mile" and still retains a secret charm, made even more vibrant by the colours of the sunset. Than we come back to Sorrento Peninsula for a relaxing stop in Piazza Marinella in Sant'Agnello where, in addition to a very good taste of handmade limoncello in the panoramic Cocktail Bar, you can take wonderful photos to the Gulf of Naples.

I  usually start the day by visiting Pompeii, however if you wish to change the day around I'll be pleased to help.  ( Itineraries may also be amended due the heavy traffic or other causes ) In this vast site you can learn about everyday Roman Life: Pompeii was a large city and many of the buldings teach us About how they lived: We also have historical testimonies and newly discovered areas of the city that was Buried by the ash and the small pieces of volcanic rock (lapilli) during the eruption of Mount Vesuvius in 79 AD Tons of volcanic material completely covered the city which then remained buried under around seven meters of ash and stones, letting mother nature take her course to preserve this gem after visiting the excavations, the tour takes you along the breathtaking Amalfi Drive with its wonderful Villages as: Sorrento & Positano where we can stop in both places for about one or two hours including a little stop for lunch in some nice place Second Place for visiting "Positano"
* Positano was a port of the Amalfi Republic in medieval times, and prospered during the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries. By the mid-nineteenth century, however, the town had fallen on hard times. More than half the population emigrated, mostly to America. Positano was a relatively poor fishing village during the first half of the twentieth century. It began to attract large numbers of tourists in the 1950s, especially after John Steinbeck published his essay about Positano in Harper's Bazaar in May, 1953: "Positano bites deep", Steinbeck wrote. "It is a dream place that isn't quite real when you are there and becomes beckoningly real after you have gone."
Third Place "Sorrento"
* The Roman name for Sorrento was Surrentum. Legends indicate a close connection between Lipara and Surrentum, as though the latter had been a colony of the former; and even through the Imperial period Surrentum remained largely Greek.
The oldest ruins are Oscan, dating from about 600 BC The position of Surrentum was very secure, protected by deep gorges. The only exception to its natural protection was 300 metres (984 feet) on the south-west where it was defended by walls, the line of which is necessarily followed by those of the modern town.
The arrangement of the modern streets preserves that of the ancient town, and the disposition of the walled paths which divide the plain to the east seems to date in like manner from Roman times.
